For years, The Russ-Tee Bucket Ranch has encouraged folks to leave behind any unopened food products or unwanted clothing. We have always taken anything left behind to Starting Point. Starting Point is a woman and family shelter in the Mt Washington Valley.
Here is Starting Point's mission statement:
is a non-profit organization dedicated to
Ensuring quality services are provided to victims of relationship violence and sexual abuse;
Preventing future relationship violence;
Promoting social change; and
Encouraging accountability and education for perpetrators and stalkers
I chose Starting Point because it seems fitting.
The Russ-Tee Bucket Ranch has hosted over 19,000 guests in almost 30 years, about 90% of them were traveling with their family. Among many other things, Starting Point provides a safe and comfortable space for families in crisis.
In an effort to help out the women and children in crisis, we encourage our guests to leave behind any unwanted items. (If your mittens do not match the new jacket you just bought at the Outlet Mall, leave them at The Ranch!)
We will transport everything to Starting Point where it will be put to good use.
Urgently needed list:
Cleaning Supplies
Feminine products
Unopened food containers
Women's and children's clothing
Toiletries
Children's bicycles
You and your group will have a HUGE impact on women and children in crisis in the North Conway area.
From the bottom of our heart, we thank you for any donation you are kind enough to make!
