Great North Conway Bars

We have several breweries and bars in North Conway, and we're not too far away is Portland, ME which is also famous for its craft beers! Your beer and bar options seem to be endless.

Tuckerman Brewing Company which has been operating for 20 years now. Their tasting room is open 7 days a week and requires no reservations. The taps in the tasting room change regularly so always be sure to check out what brews they have while you plan to visit. You can see the list online! If you want a tour alongside your tasting than ask about our brewery tours. This tour teaches you how Tuckerman's makes their award winning beer (it is also family friendly). You'll learn all about the equipment and people that worked hard to create the beer you're enjoying. The brewery tours are very informative but not so long that you'll yawn. HA!

Tuckerman Brewing Company has skyrocketed to the local's favorite North Conway bar partly due to their delicious and ever changing list of brewed beer but mostly due to their outdoor venue and great live music.

If you ever drive into North Conway, NH about 4 PM on a Friday afternoon, make a stop at Tuckerman Brewing Company to listen and dance to the live music. I'll be the one dancing to every song! Tuckerman's in North Conway, NH has been brewing beer since 1998 and currently is producing; Pale Ale, Headwall Alt, Rockpile IPA, 50 Cent Day IPA, 6288 Stout, First Tracks IPA, Summer Pils, Beer., Dawn Patrol IPA, Fall Line Rye IPA, Kolsch, and Double Fall Line Rye DIPA. My personal fav is Kolsch. I love, love, love it! I know that IPA's are all the rage but I think they taste like grapefruit. Yuck. Bring your appetite because the food is delicious and not wildly expensive. Take out and curbside is available for those that are on the run. Check them out and don't forget to check out the live music offerings. No cover charge and great music too!

Another great bar near North Conway is Saco River Brewing Company in Fryeburg, Maine has tastings at their brewery Thursdays-Monday but you can also taste their beers at various restaurants and hot bars around Conway, NH, Fryeburg and Bridgton, ME. Plus, Fryeburg is a stones throw away from Russ-Tee Bucket Ranch! Saco River Brewing Company which is a true bar, has a delicious assortment of beers on tap and canned but no food. They make a variety of IPA's, Pale Ale's and a small assortment of others.

I have to admit, I don't like their beer. I'm more of an unfiltered wheat beer kinda gal and their beers seem very hoppy to me. Saco River Brewing sometimes holds events and is a great place to go for a beer tasting!

Next on our list is Moat Mountain Smokehouse and Brewery. Moat Mountain opened its doors in 2000 right in the heart of North Conway. It has a brewpub that seat's almost 200, an inn, and a restaurant in the historic home. They also have their Brewery Barn and Cannery in Intervale, NH which was opened in 2013. Now, they no longer do tours or outside catering but they have the bar in full swing with their specialty ales and lagers that they brew on site. Moat Mountain is open 7 days a week at 11:30am!

Grab the adults and head over for some local beer. (Make sure to try the blueberry--you're in New England after all).

I'm really picky about where I frequent and in my not so humble opinion, it's too noisy at the Moat. There is only granite, metal, and cement and the ceiling is low. I know, I know, I'm old.

The last brewery on our list is the Sea Dog Brewing Company. Sea Dog Brewing Co. is right in the Red Barn off of the White Mountain Highway in the center of North Conway. They have a lot of seats in their dining area and a horseshoe shaped bar. Sea Dog's bar serves 14 beers on tap and they have a nano-brewery.

Every time I've been to Sea Dog's, the bartenders have been so friendly! As a local, I appreciate chatting it up while I'm enjoying a beer. They also have a private area to host private events if you ask for it ahead of time. Sea Dog's is not only known for its high quality, English style brewed beer but they're recognized for their delicious food all over southern Maine, New Hampshire and part of Florida. No matter which brewery you choose in North Conway you will be delighted to taste our delicious craft beers, and on occasion our delicious pub food.

Wine. We're going to talk about wine!

They host small parties with reservations (16 people or less). You can choose between a bachelorette/bachelor party, a birthday, anniversary or just your average everyday wine party!

You can even get a souvenir glass of your choice. It's a great spot for small get together's just make sure to give them a week's notice to reserve your spot.

Sap House Meadery is New Hampshire's very first Mead Pub!

Sap House also offers cheese boards, tacos, beer, cider, and wine! Along with their fine meads of course.

What is the difference between mead and beer you ask? The sugar in mead is typically made from honey as opposed to the grainy sugar that is in beer.

Believe it or not Mead was created by the Egyptians 7,000 years ago making it the longest brewed fermented beverage.

Unlike wine there are no "rules and regulations" regarding how to drink mead or what to drink it with. Just drink it!

Come through to the Sap House to watch the fascinating process of brewing mead before you enjoy it yourself.
